Orchestrating Insight: The Evolving MSI Role

6 March 2025

One of the Digital Buildings Council’s (DBC) core Focus Areas, which I helped define, is to explore the evolving roles and responsibilities of key stakeholders in digital building project delivery. This includes the evolving role of the Master Systems Integrator (MSI). This article by Mike Hook of LMG, published in the April edition of Inside Networks, is a prime example of the thought leadership I help facilitate within this crucial domain. My process involves more than just content promotion; it’s about making the whole look greater than the sum of its disparate parts.

Through a process of facilitating recorded interviews with authors like Mike, summarising their insights using AI tools for an outline, and then empowering them to express their thinking, I significantly streamline content creation. This makes it efficient for busy industry members to contribute valuable thought leadership.

This article, and others like it, explores how greater collaboration clarifies delivery models and ensures intelligent buildings function in harmony, contributing to a wider discussion on roles and responsibilities in the digital built environment. You can read Mike Hook’s full article, “Bringing it all to life,” in the April edition of Inside Networks.
